The Moon Phases Activity

Our class has learned more about the phases of the Moon.  We completed a lab where we were able to identify how the position of the Moon in relation to the Earth and Sun affects how much light it (the Moon) will reflect.  This reflection is what causes the Moon to look different from the Earth.

We have been learning a lot about the moon. Check out these resources for more information about the moon, it's phases and how it rotates and revolves around the Earth.

• Want to practice the phases of the moon?  Well, go to these web sites and make your own flash cards.  Print them at home and practice with your friends and family.  Show them how much you know!

Rotation vs Revolution, Shadows, Seasons and The Sun

Want to clarify the difference between rotation & revolution?  Let's get some more information about this.

1. Learn about shadows at Engineering Interact. This will explain more about roation and how the Earth rotates on it's axis causing shadows.
